I was born in Mexico city, I moved to La Paz (two hours driving from Cabo) in 1987. I have an Administration Degree from Baja California Sur University, I moved to Cabo in 1994 where I worked as a business administrator for 13 years. I married a Canadian realtor and for almost 2 years I have been working in Real Estate in the Los Cabos area so I am your Cabo San Lucas connection.

I am a buyer’s agent and I work very hard until I find the right property for my clients. I hate high pressure sales; I prefer to work on a friendly and honest basis. I am always looking for the best deals on the market for my clients so when they ask me for recommendations I have in my mind the best buy they can get for their money, nobody can beat a best deal right?

I moved here from Las Cruces New Mexico only to find a higher level of the “Land of Enchantment” in Los Cabos. The demographics, culture, food, and the ecosystem are very similar. However, there is no comparison to the magnificent Ocean, and atmosphere in Los Cabos.

My Real Estate background in New Mexico consisted of the following;

I was the Owner/Broker of my own Real Estate firm. I participated in residential resales, new construction, entry level and luxury homes, residential land, commercial buildings/ commercial land, and income properties.

My Construction Company built mid-level, and luxury homes. I was involved in subdivision planning, development, lot sales, Construction pre-sales, and sales of new speculation homes.

My current credentials are a Real Estate Brokers license, and a General Contractors license GB 98 Commercial/ Residential. I recently completed the Quadrennial Code of Ethics for The National Association of Realtors (NAR).

My prior work experience includes the following, but not limited to;

I was first licensed in Michigan in 1979, Brokers license in Colorado, and New Mexico.

Property management experience in management, and leasing of apartments in developments of 300 or more units. Personal investment of Construction of new apartments, leasing, and sales. Personal investment of renovations of existing apartments, leasing, and sales. I also worked for the Sheet Metal Workers Union building hi rise office buildings in Downtown Denver Colorado.

I’m a Native Californian growing up in the Mammoth Lakes area, and eventually settling on the Central Coast of California. I pursued a profession in the field of Dentistry, I soon became a Dental Hygienist and Certified Lab Technician. After years of practicing and providing services in the dental field, I felt it was time to make a change and move forward in a new direction.

I moved to Los Cabos after a short vacation in 1990, after two weeks in paradise, I knew this would soon become my home. Born and raised in Glendale California. I moved to Sonoma Co. in 1970 where I attended college and owned 2 record stores.. In 1974 moved to Lanakai Hawaii where I worked in the beverage business owning my own distributorship. I then moved to Truckee California in 1978 where I started a trucking company and worked for Sugar Bowl Ski resort.. In 1986 moved to San Jose Del Cabo and resided at Brisa Del Mar . I grew up on a small barrier island on the New Jersey shore where I like to say “you either fish, surf, or leave..” I did both until I found Los Cabos. I have a BA from Seton Hall University, where, I studied pre-law and was an active member of the Pi Kappa Alpha National Fraternity. I put myself though college by fishing. I have a US Coast Guard Captains License and have fished the competitive Marlin Tournament circuit for almost 20 years. Most recently I hooked the largest White Marlin caught in competition in 29 years winning my team First place in the largest tournament in the world the White Marlin Open in Ocean City Maryland 8/09 and then came home to Los Cabos to win the Bisbee Los Cabos Tournament with a 438lb Blue Marlin 10/09. I have lived in Los Cabos for almost 14 years and have worked with Baja Properties since day one as agent and Sales Manager. Over that time I have been a Top MLS Producer helping my clients realize their dream of owning property here in Los Cabos by working tirelessly to know the inventory, area and process for foreigners to own in Mexico. My Specialty is Beach Front in San Jose, the corridor and East Cape for both residential and commercial investment. Small-town Midwest Girl, University of Illinois Graduate, Corporate America Road Warrior loving her life in Cabo as a Small Business Entrepeneur and Successful Real Estate Professional. After graduating from University of Illinois Champaign Urbana I began my Corporate Career with Moore North America in Project Management and Product Development. My 10 year career transfered me often. I lived in 5 states in 8 years. I lived in practically every major US city to be exact, Dallas, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Chicago. My career required extensive travel. I traveled 65 to 90% for over 6 years and felt like my life belonged to the company and Amercian Airlines Admirals Club. How did I get to Cabo? My Sister and her Ex-husband were in the hotel business in Asia. After 6 years she wanted to be closer to home to start her family. Cabo as the fastest growing Mexican Resort Destination and only a 4.5 hour flight from Chicago was the perfect place to receive a promotion and to live in a New Found Paradise. I would find myself escaping frequently on the weekends just to take 2 days to lie in the sunshine and relax before getting on the plane to see my next client. It took me 2 years and plenty of stress to realize I didn¬¥t want to work for Corporate America any longer and to take the plunge into happiness. My new life started 9 years ago when I moved to Cabo and opened a jewelry store with my sister. Silver Exposure is still thriving thanks to our loyal clientele and great designers. Since then I now have a loving husband and 2 beautiful baby girls. Yes we are very busy. So where does Real Estate fit into the picture? It all started with our return clients from the jewelry store who had been coming to Cabo for years asking about homes and condos wanting to buy their vacation home or preparing for upcoming retirement. After referring 5 of my clients in one month to another agent here in Cabo it dawned on my to start my career in Real Estate. Carlos L. Tinoco was born in Puebla, Pue. Mexico, there he studied and developed the Marketing department for Volkswagen Leasing, then worked as International Sales Manager in Tubacero, welded steel pipe factory in Monterrey, Mexico, then as sales manager in Granitos Naturales, a natural granite and marble factory, his main market was Texas, U.S.A. In 1994 he was hired by Banca Serfin to make a marketing plan and sales project for the condominium development Misiones de San Jose in San Jose del Cabo. Since then, he decided this was the ideal place to live and stayed working in sales of condos for such development. From 1999 till 2004 he was the administrator of the HOA of Club La Costa also in San Jose. Finally he decided that he was missing the challenge of Real Estate sales and joined Baja Properties, which he knew was the most professional and successful company in Los Cabos. Since 1995 till today he travels to the United States and Canada every year to visit friends, clients and relatives.
